1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona

This iconic Seventies supercar was delivered new in November 1972 to the official USA importer Chinetti-Garthwaite in Rosso Chiaro red with Nero black interior; Chinetti then retailed it in October 1973 to the first owner, Mr. Lionel Flickstein of Cherry Hills, New Jersey, and in whose family the Daytona was to remain for the next 47 years of ownership.

Fitted from new with factory air conditioning, power windows, and instruments recording in MPH, all per US specification examples.

The Daytona was treated to a repaint in its original color some twenty or so years ago while the interior has its lovely original seats, door panels, carpeting and instrumentation all in superb condition; mechanically the Ferrari was also properly serviced earlier this year notably with the brakes overhauled (new calipers), new upper and lower ball joints fitted, new steering rod ends fitted, carburetors overhauled, the wheels refreshed with a set of new correct Michelin XWX tires fitted and a new battery fitted, as well as all fluids flushed and changed throughout (total cost $24,500).

The odometer records just 36,375 miles from new.

Complete with tools and history file.

An untampered-with example of the marque that both looks and drives well and has that stellar undisturbed ownership history.
